I have an older car which does not support Android Auto/Apple Carplay, and would like to add it. I have a 2008 Honda Accord V6 with navigation. While it does have Bluetooth for the phone, it does not support Bluetooth audio. I currently have a Bluetooth audio receiver to aux adapter plugged into the aux input of the car.
I am looking at the Road Top 8.8, and was wondering if I will be able to do two things:
- Pair it to a Bluetooth/aux input adapter (since the car's radio does not support Bluetooth audio)
- Be able to use the existing Bluetooth connection in the car for phone calls (as opposed to having the calls routed through the Road Top unit)
Since the nav screen on the Accord is recessed, I would be able to place the Road Top in front of it, essentially replacing the nav screen. I essentially want to have a permanent solution that does not involve taking apart my dashboard, but still retains the factory look.
Edit: While I have mentioned the Road Top 8.8, if anyone knows of a comparable product that works as advertised, and does what I need, I am open to suggestion.
