Using a PC keyboard for Emulators

Can anyone suggest an app that lets me use my PC keyboard (via wifi)to play on my phone (That works with gameboid,nesoid,etc...)?
For some reason, Every method I tried doesn't work with the emulator apps. I can set the keys in the controls menu, but in-game they just don't respond. Seems like the apps only look for hardware presses, Is there anyway to bypass it?
using a VNC server on my android, it doesn't work. I can set the keys, but they don't work in-game.
"Wifi Keyboard" Causes the same problem.
