Problems with Samsung Moment...
Post Body
So hopefully /r/Android is an ok place to post this, if not I apologize. Many of these things are probably not problems with Android, but the handset itself. I'm interested in finding out if other people with the Moment have experienced any of these problems, or maybe if other Android uses are experiencing any of them. So, here are some of my problems:
- GPS is AWFUL! I can't get a lock side-by-side with another phone (this was an M1) which gets a lock no problem.
- Phone randomly blackscreens and becomes unresponsive; battery must be removed to turn it back on.
- Sometimes the signal drops to zero from 5 bars and then back up. It looks like the cellular radio seems to reset for no apparent reason.
- Similarly, sometimes 3G cuts out and I figured out "Reset PLR" in the phone options brings it back.
- My phone sends double text messages all the fucking time and this is very annoying. I'll type a message and hit send and then immediately the message pops up twice as being sent. I have confirmed that people at the other end do in fact receive two messages. Sometimes a message fails to send while I have good signal, and I think this is related somehow. I think it has something to do with the phone not being able to confirm that a message sent successfully for some reason.
I plan on doing a factory reset to see if that helps anything. I've got 2.1 installed and as far as I know everything is up to date. Do other Moment uses have any of these problems? Anyone have any fixes?
