Is there an app that can simply play an http audio stream?

I use mpd to play music on my desktop and it streams ogg over http which can be tuned to with any normal media player. The music player on android doesn't seem to be able to point at a stream. I know there are a lot of internet radio apps but the first few I tried didn't even let me point it at a custom url.
I just want a simple app that I can point at a url for a music stream and play is, is there something like this?
