Mic Problem with my Canadian GS4

I've had my Canadian GS4 for a few weeks now and I've noticed when somebody calls me they can barely hear what I say at all. I tried raising my voice and still they didn't hear anything.

However, if I turn my phone on speakerphone then they can hear me perfectly.

I installed CM10.1 (RC2) for the canadian GS4 off CM's website and rooted the first day I got it.

Any ideas about what could be wrong?

EDIT: Holding the phone at a 45 degree angle and talking into the mic hole works but is hardly a solution I'm happy with.
