Will StickMount work on the Nexus 4?

With all the discussion on the lack of internal storage on the Nexus 4, my question is whether StickMount will work? The Nexus 7 tablet has its bootloader easily unlocked, root access easily gained and custom recovery easily flashed. Will the Nexus 4 be the same?

For my purposes, 16GB is fine except on occasional long trips where I will want a few movies/extra music. If I can mount some USB Flash Drives and wither play media directly or swap out what is on the internal storage, I would be perfectly content.

So what is the best guess on this?
