Weird Writing Question

I'm really not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I recently was reading a really edgy story and the line "hung from a noose of their own entrails" came up. So out of morbid curiosity, I was wondering if it is actually possible to tie a noose using intestine? Like, would the organs be too stretchy, or maybe it'd snap?
