There has been a lot of discussion about how to make anarchy happen for real on a large scale especially knowing the daunting task that it is with the power of the state. Fortunately for us, revolutionaries have been writing about this for years and we literally have guides. If you take the time to do the reading, you'll find that there are common themes being brought up:
1) Pacifism and complacency is detrimental. A revolution must be radical by its literal definition of attacking the issue at its root, not pussy footing around it. Revolutionaries such as Malcolm X have pointed out that the liberal, pacifistic, non-violence approach is not only ineffective but it is a dangerous attitude in which those with more privilege due to their class status only further isolate actual revolutionaries and make them more vulnerable when they are already being targeted by the state. If your approach on anarchy is only to talk about it but never make lifestyle changes where you contribute less and less to the system, strengthen and arm yourself, and form connections with other anarchists in person, you are opting out of actual anarchy for a bastardized version where you pretend to care and talk the talk but you stay comfortable living a lifestyle that you are privileged to have because other people are actively enslaved, terrorized, and taken from.
2) Organization is vital for revolution to be successful. For the anarchists to be successful in establishing anarchy, they need to empower themselves as individuals and ultimate organize with others for our numbers to mean anything. Autonomous groups of resistance must have practical leadership where people share their skills and personal experience and teach each other while strategizing with these diverse perspectives. Leadership should be based on knowledge and ability and autonomy should be a priority. There should be no rulers (centralized power for the sake of command and status. There should only be leaders (each individual sharing their expertise to build up each other and direct specific objectives based on their knowledge and ability to do so, not status or popularity).
3) Continued governance is required for sustainability. This point connects to the last one. Organization is vital to form the revolution for a new anarchist society. To keep this anarchistic society strong and sustained, decentralized autonomous government is required. There is a natural necessity for cooperative organization within each and between each local communities for people to make sure their needs are being met and natural resources are taken care of in an efficient way that protects the environment. On top of the need to be self-sustained and fully autonomous in this way, people also need continued protection from the real threats of destabilization and invasion from capitalist and imperialist states that have been murdering people across the globe for centuries in effort to prevent free peoples from becoming well established. Rather than making the mistake of having a centralized military for protecting all of the anarchist communities, everyone needs to be capable and armed to be able to protect themselves and their neighbors. There needs to be a way for people to quickly communicate with each other and mobilize if necessary. There also needs to be special planning and action taken to protect those who have disabilities or are elderly or children and these people should be also informed in gun safety and have means of protecting themselves with whatever limitations they may have.
In the comments, I will share some resources to read/listen to. Teach yourself and take action on empowering yourself.
