Post Body

Recently, I met a man who had just come from prison where he was in for 30 years if I remember correctly (it was multiple decades). As a child, he had been repeatedly sexually abused by his step dad who was also beating on his mom. This man was so traumatized that he wasn't even able to look my male comrades in the eyes while telling us this. At some point, his step dad killed his mother so he killed his step dad and was sent to prison. This is the sick joke of what we call our justice system. Our justice system is only one of the many things wrong with our liberal society that has been and continues to marginalize people and ruins many lives with poverty, injustice, homelessness, and other kinds of civil abuse.
