Here's a resource that a comrade recently shared with me for my learning. It outlines how limiting to nonviolence not only protects the state by keeping a status quo but also blocks true anarchists from making progress in the struggle against capitalism. Ignoring direct action is convenient for the people who are priveledged enough to do so while alienates those who are struggling by more immediate and violent threats of capitalism. Direct action includes ending your own personal contribution to capitalism by means of quitting your job, refusing to own private property, squatting, theft, and, yes, illegal methods such as fighting when necessary. It is essential to use all of the tools necessary and use them wisely.
