Core arguments of carceral mythology / legalism?
Post Body

Hi, I am making a video called "Debunking Every Anti-Anarchist Argument Ever" and one part of the video is focused on debunking carceral mythology, or all of the myths that support or defend the carceral system such as policing, prisons, and surveillance as a means of addressing crime and antisocial behavior. (I recall another person on here calling this legalism, or the idea that laws and the state can effectively combat crime.)

Anyway, I need some of the central arguments that legalists/pro-carceralists use against anarchists as well as the arguments they make surrounding how crime works, what should be crimes in the first place, and how to address criminality and antisociality. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
