Story of a Heathen

Suppose a Muslim approached you. Soon enough he started condemning you for your heathen lifestyle, your sexual activities, your failure to veil your women, ignoring Muslim rituals, and your lack of acknowledgement for the Quran. You laugh, until he advocates that for your crime of refusal to respect Muslim mandates, rituals, and holy men that you should be caged, beaten, threatened, and your property stolen for the crime of disobeying the Quran.

You protest and say that Muslim holy-books, laws, rituals, or holy men have any authority or right to control your life. The Muslim argues back, and to support his arguments raves on about faith, the Quran, Mohamed, and various religious leaders. Annoyed, you demonstrate that his Quran means nothing to you, and his beliefs are irrational and self-contradictory. Further you demonstrate that he should influence social change through peaceful means, and not the very violence his holy books condemn.

Finally he concedes his words are violent and self contradictory, but then says "Muslims have done many great things, and without using violence to enforce the Quaran, our civilization would dive into immorality, chaos, and ruin."

Story of a Free Man

Suppose a Statist approaches me. Soon enough the Statist startes condemning me for my heathen disbelief in what he calls "government," disdain for it's mandates, hate of it's rules, refusal to recognize legitimacy of it's documents, and complete disrespect for it's courts, legislation, and other rituals. I laugh, but then the Statist advocates that for my refusal to respect the mandates, rituals, and officers, that I should be caged, beaten, threatened, and my property stolen for the crime of disobeying this Government.

I protest and say the Statist's farcical documents, mandates, rituals, and officials have absolutely no authority or right to control my life. The statist argues back, and to support his arguments raving about "social contract" and citing references from the U.S. Legal Code, State Rituals (i.e. elections, court cases, etc), The Constitution, the Country's Founders, and it's current political leaders. Annoyed, I demonstrate that his Legal-Code and Government means nothing to me, and his Statist beliefs are irrational and self-contradictory. Further I demonstrate that the Statist should influence social change through peaceful means, not the very violence his Statist beliefs condemn.

Finally the Statist concedes that his words are violent and self contradictory, but then says, "Government has done many great things, and without using violence to enforce our Taxes and Mandates, our civilization would dive into immorality, chaos, and ruin."
