Banned from r/atheism for suggesting being baked a cake isn't a right.
Post Body

Sorry, I just really want to vent about this and this is the only place that feels safe.

tl;dr People were pointing out the hypocrisy from the right on thinking businesses should be allowed to refuse service to gay people (the cake incident, specifically) but not people without masks. I pointed out that the left are literally doing the same thing the other way around.

This resulted in me being permabanned. I've messaged the mods 4 times, not because I want to be unbanned but because when I got banned they didnt give me a reason. The closest I've gotten thus far is "We dont allow people to argue the civil rights act was a bad idea".

Except they do because their rules specifically say it's ok to argue ideas (their example is it's ok to say Islamic religion has some toxic ideas but not ok to say anyone who follows the religion is a bad person) but that's obviously not true.

The last time I messaged the mods and pointed this out they just said to stop messaging them and muted me for the 3rd time.

I like this sub and all that but I hate that this is the only sub I can have an actual debate about ideas without worrying about being punished for thinking differently than the majority.
