This air quality sucks. I think we need to get ahead of this problem and say that we are the solution. What I've heard about California at least is that all the private land is far better managed for forest fire prevention than the federal land is. How much of these Canadian fires are on similar mismanaged government land?
Ultimately though sometimes you do have to fight a fire how would we organize this as Ancaps, and how can we get more private sector entities helping in Canada now?
I especially worry about the recent fires creating in the public mind a sense that we need more governmental management of land to prevent this happening again, which could just make things worse. Nothing like giving government a problem it won't solve to create an endless loop of increasing government.
