need some help finding mutual aid groups across the US!

Post Body

Hi all.

I've been reaching out to mutual aid groups across the country for a project I'm working on and I could really use some help finding more. I'm in a band and for our US tour, we're having mutual aid groups come through to each show, set up a table, present before we play, and collect donations from audience members and ticket sales. We did this last year and it was fuckin awesome, so cool connecting with different groups and exposing our audiences to them, and I'm hoping to expand this idea this next tour.

I'm looking for pretty much any kind of organization that's active and directly supports people. I have mostly been working with groups that distribute free things to people who need them, but also down for groups that help incarcerated people, climate change groups, and groups that provide education. But seriously, all kinds of orgs are welcome. I prefer to work with anarchist/autonomous groups.

If anyone has a list of active mutual aid groups around the US, that would be awesome, and if it doesn't exist, I essentially would love for that to form here.

Thank you comrades!! <3<3<3

EDIT; a couple of the cities I need help with โ€” portland OR, Omaha NE, Kansas City MO, Indianapolis IN, Grand Rapids MI, Columbus OH, NYC (thereโ€™s so many Iโ€™d appreciate some that are specifically anarchist/autonomous), Asheville NC, Jacksonville/Tampa/Orlando FL, Birmingham AL. THANK YOU!
