I'm looking for books related to self-sufficiency, but I'm looking more along the lines of homeless/"vagabond" type of lifestyle. Stuff about dumpster diving, begging. Looking for techniques, but more importantly books that read more like memoirs, and philosophical musings. More along the lines of Walden and Walden on Wheels than purely survival books. I'm more interested in the road traveler, train hopper and hitchhiker lifestyles.
This is just personal interest, and I would be very thankful for any recommendations. It doesn't just have to be books. Blogs are great too.
