How do I shoot star track photos on Film Camera?

Post Body

First of all, Happy New Year everyone.

I will go on a road trip in a few days, and I wanna shoot some night sky photos. I would like to bring my Olympus OM-1 and shoot a star track photo with this camera. However, I don't know how long do I need to set the exposure time. Some told me an hour and some told me 45 minutes.

Assuming the night sky is clear and cloudless, I will be using these gears:

Olympus OM-1, 28mm f2.8

ISO 100 or 400 film

A tripod and a shutter release cable

Does anyone have any experience shooting photos like this before? Would need some advice. Thank you.
