So I happen to be in Alaska for vacation and I brought a film camera (EOS 300) with some Ektar 100 rolls to document the trip. I just recently bought it following a friends recommendation. The thing is, I just shoot it on Automatic Mode since I haven’t put the time into actually learning how to use all the manual features. I kind of know what each of them do, but I just don’t know how much to adjust them and use them to get the picture i specifically want.
So, I had not taken any night pictures, but today I found out that tonight there will be high aurora borealis activity. As soon as I learned that I might get to see them I jumped in the internet to try to learn how to try to take a picture at night with the setting I have (EOS 300, EKTAR 100), or if it’s even possible. I got frustrated quick, since I realized that I just don’t have the time to learn all that stuff.
Could anyone guide me on how I could take that picture? i am decided to start learning more about photography from now on haha. I don’t want to be this guy again, but would appreciate the help!
