So i put an ad on my local group here where I live saying I'm looking for old analog camera to fix, paint and resell. This guy contact me for a Mamiya 645 (4 lenses, crazy accessories) but is out of budget for me. Then he sent me the picture for a Nikon F301 with two lenses, a Petri MF101 and a Canon EOS 5. We accorded a good price for the last three (120€) ans by the end I explained my passion my hobby and what will I do with the cameras (repaint use them and sell them) and he handed me this compact camera saying "Since you like taking picture this could be handy since its small, I give it for free due to the fact you traveled to come here" and added an expired b&w roll to it. I didn't knew the value of what handed to me for free and honestly I'm shocked. The stuff wasn't belonging to him but to the ex-husband of his girlfriend who passed away this spring, so he never spent a cent on it neither was passionate. Should I tell him that he gifted me something more valuable than what I've paid for the lot or what? I should meet him again for the Nikon next week when he will get it back from the other apartment, I'm going to give him the rest 50€ but Im not sure if I should say the truth about this compact or just take a big luck for once in my lifetime and be happy and enjoy it :)
I forgot to add: I'm helping him selling the Mamyia on the web and he's happy to get the value its deserved instead of giving it for less than 400€ like they have already offered. And no, he is not in need of money since he shown me his wine collection of 250 bottles worth 200 each and asked to help selling it too.
