What's up with these light seals??

I ordered an M645 and just received it. The body is in great shape, but I noticed something going on with the light seals. I know what they look like when they're worn (sorta gummy and patchy) and this is totally different. The side strips are odd. The back strip looks pretty normal. I'd appreciate some thoughts on this
