hello,
i have been using a yashica t4 zoom for a while now but in the past coupe of years all my photos have been underexposed despite shooting in extreme sun and using high iso film. i took my camera to a camera store and the guy showed me that the aperture never fully opens, this is electronic failure and it cannot be fixed. he suggested i use 400 iso while covering the iso code so the machine cannot read it, and shoot in a lot of light.
my questions are:
- is there really no way to fix this? i love this camera but i am really tired of underexposed photos.
- what do you think of the store guys' suggestion?
- any point and shoot camera suggestions instead of yashica t4? i was thinking of mju-ii but the price is 480 euros (fully refurbished and 6 months warranty).
i have a canon ae-1 in my home country, works perfectly well and i am usually happy with the results but i don't have it with me right now (in my home country). i am always moving around and it is a bit difficult to carry around with me all the time. so i was suggested the following cameras by the store (all prices for fully refurbished 6 month warranty cameras):
- olympus af 10 (230 euros)
- nikon af 600 (340 euros)
- olympus om 40 program (260 euros)
thank youuuuu
