Bleeding months after surgery
Post Body

Hi fellow fistula brethren,

I had a fistulotomy October 31, 2023. I have been having drainage ever since, little and little over time - rarely any blood spotting, etc. However, today I sat down on the toilet to simply relax as my shower got hot. I stood up and glanced down at the toilet to be shocked. It was covered with blood, the water was full of blood… just blood everywhere including myself. I have no pain from the rear area, it just started pouring out blood. Has anyone ever had something similar happen? I’ll be calling my Surgeon on Monday I guess so he can take a glance. Scary nonetheless, now every time I wipe it’s just pools of blood. 🫣
