Fissure blood?

Post Body

I noticed bleeding (bright red) during a BM back in late 2021. It's happened a few more times. I notice it when I wipe. Sometimes it's on the outside/surface of the stool and sometimes it's only when I wipe. The first time I don't recall noticing pain, but the other times, I felt a sharp pain while pooping and then afterward for pretty much the whole day. The blood always seems to be on a certain side when I'm wiping too. I've poked around up there with a q tip after noticing blood. Sure enough, I poke around a certain spot and it HURTS to be poked and there's some blood on the q tip. I've looked using a mirror and it looks like there's a fissure and possibly also an external hemorrhoid, both are always present after I notice blood. The bleeding comes and goes. Sometimes I feel the sharp pain but don't have bleeding. It's not tons of blood but sometimes it's enough to tint the toilet water pink.

Of course the first time there was blood, I googled it. Google basically told me I'm most likely dying of colon cancer. I went to the Dr and I was terrified. He told me that he didn't want to dismiss anything, but that it most likely wasn't cancer. He did an EKG and blood work with a full iron panel to rule out iron deficiency anemia and both tests were normal. I haven't lost weight or appetite and this has been happening for over a year now. I just wanted to hear what fissures are like for others.
