Am I crazy into thinking this feels rushed? I haven't tried any cream because my general doctor gave me stuff for hemorrhoids even tho I believe to have a fissure. I healed my fissure on my own for a month but I re-tore it recently and it's just not healing. My sphincter feels really tight and it spasms the second I feel pain as I poop, before finally opening up.

The dr is a general surgeon but she deals with hemorrhoid and fissure issues a lot. She did a finger test and was able to locate where my pain was and holy shit it hurt and I'm not looking forward to my next bm. I asked about something like diltiazem but she apparently doesn't believe in creams for fissure. What she wants to do exactly is put me to sleep, get a scope in there to see what it is I'm dealing with, and then treating whatever it is.

How do I proceed? Did you guys do surgery right away? Should I get a second opinion? Tbh I was hoping to try the cream route for a few weeks before trying surgery.
