I have never lived in Amsterdam but I stayed in Paris for a short while. My experience in Paris was very unpleasant. I assume Amsterdam may also have similar issues as a big touristic city.
A scammer tried to sell us roses near Eiffel tower and got mad and started screaming at us when we didn't take the rose. We were eating breakfast outside and a guy came to me asking to buy him a sandwich. Got mad and started a fight with me. Lady next to me told me he would run away with my wallet if I had taken it out.
I don't know much about Amsterdam as I have never lived there.
How is life like in Amsterdam? What are the pros and cons of living there ? Is it a lot more international? Do people hate foreigners due to overtourism?
