Hey all, I've been working on a Arduino based automated terrarium system. Simply for a hobby, possibly as a product down the line. For those that don't know. An Arduino is a very small(2x4 inches) programmable computer that let's you control electronics.
So far my idea is pretty simple and I've made some headway in the programming and hardware side.
I have a temp and humidity sensor that triggers a 120v fogger/heaters.
I've have "modes " for different animal needs. "IE: you set desert modes and it turns on a led that fades from red to orange super slowly. Keeps the (adjustable) temp and (adjustable) humidity at desert levels. While also playing desert sounds through a speaker.
Modes are jungle, forest, desert, so far.
I have a few other small ideas but while I'm building this thing. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas for something they'd love to see. Any ideas that would make your life easier. Maybe a system that fills water bowls up once they get below a threshold?
Throw some ideas at me guys. :)
