Got hacked how?

There was a guy who said "FUCK YOU N******". I asked him to stop being racist or I'll kick him. He stopped it. After a while, under my own username, the above quoted text appeared, and another guy asked me why I was being racist. How did that happen? Did we both get hacked or what? That guy didn't say anything that it wasn't him who typed it, and when I said it nobody believed me. I'm confused as to how someone can do this. Any ideas?
