I will say I do enjoy using the lounges, but at an airport I try to spend as little time in one as possible, usually an hour or so after TSA to boarding. My focus for any trip is on the destination, followed by a comfortable flight. Reading here I see so many fixated on how many hours they’ll spend in one, or if they’re overcrowded. I understand sometimes there’s delays and the lounges are crucial then, but hinging your trip around spending several HOURS on some free food and drinks seems frivolous to me. Am I missing something here?
If you live in a house with children, I'm sure you can imagine the advantage of leaving the house a few hours early and plugging in to the wi-fi at an airport lounge to with your laptop, to focus exclusively on work.
