I’m a platinum member, booked a Delta flight with Amex Travel from Atlanta to Mumbai (with layover in Paris) with an option for free seat selection and sky lounge access in Paris. When I tried the seat selection it asked me to pay separately. I raised the issue with Amex team. They replied it’s written in terms and conditions that charges originating from international airline needs to be bear by the customer. Since the flights are listed under delta and operated by Air France I’m not eligible for a seat selection in 3 legs of my flight and for single leg which is from Paris To Atlanta operated by Delta again I’m not eligible as it’s a flight not originating in USA.
