I'm pondering getting a 5700 non-XT and flashing it with an XT BIOS. This will obviously require a very decent cooling solution which is why I have been reading a bit but would like more input:
I have read the Sapphire Pulse and PowerColor Red Dragon both have good coolers but the Pulse has 3 heat pipes vs. the Dragon's 5. Still the former comes out better in steady state thermals in Gamer's Nexus' reviews. Will this still hold true under the higher heat output when flashed to XT-BIOS?
What other non-XT cards have good cooling solution (preferably the same as XT-Version)?
If you flashed a non-XT to XT-BIOS: which model and what're your thermals and noise/fan RPM like?
Thanks!
