So reviewers seem to interpret the 5700's 1850Mhz target core clock limit as market segmentation to provide an incentive to buy the 5700XT. But the latter is also limited at 2150Mhz target. Judging by the timespy results uploaded so far there's quite a few cards bouncing off this wall with effective clocks in the 2050 to 2100Mhz range.
Decent AIB cards will likely also reach this limit without too much effort when they come out.
This got me thinking: is the 2150Mhz target core clock limit of the 5700XT also market segmentation to leave room for faster cards in the near future?
