Obviously we are all hyped about Computex and Zen 2
Its safe to assume there will br a lot of cores and increase in Clock Speeds (4.7 Ghz maybe as a comservative estimate)
But noone talks about possibly bad latencies. And those count for gaming a lot
Also pricing. Remember 1800x launched at 500€
So yes Zen 2 will probably be great but you shouldnt bet on a 400€ 16 core or a 8 core Ryzen 7 that beats the 9900k in games
Just as a reminder Zen and Zen are aroun 80ns memory latency while the 9900k s around 45ns : https://techreport.com/review/34192/intel-core-i9-9900k-cpu-reviewed/2
EDIT2: Just now we got another Geekbench http://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/compare/13241660?baseline=13267824
Worse latences than Zen . Sadly it seems like my fears come true and Intel will remain better in gaming clock for clock
