I just read over at hardware that AMD uses a 7nm process with 66 Mrt/sqrmm denisty called 7HPC
But I recall from memory that Intel plans 101 Mrt/sqrmm desnity on their 10nm process
What are the odds of AMD providing great performance until Intel launches a superior product with their 10nm?
I mean 7nm is a big jump and certainly AMD needs some compromise to achieve that either by using a less ambitious 7nm tech. I imagine 7nm being expensive and less efficient in yield
So it would make sense for AMD to use a looser 7nm process but wouldnt they loose performance from that and open the door for Intel to sweep in with a better process yet again?
Also unrelated Infinity Fabric will still hurt latencies compares to ring bus right?
