New Ryzen 1700x Build
Post Body

So I decided to build my new 4k gaming rig using Ryzen, stepping up from the 9590 FX: http://imgur.com/a/cqVoR

Specs:

  • Ryzen 7 - 1700x (running at 3.9Ghz)
  • 1080 Ti FE (running at 2063hz when boosted)
  • 16GB 3200 CL14 Trident Z G.Skill Ram (swapped for non RGB now)
  • Strix x370-f Motherboard
  • 256Gb Samsung 960 Evo m.2
  • Toshiba X300 4TB Spinner
  • Full EK Watercooling setup (push pull on Rad)
  • Corsair RM 650x PSU
  • Phanteks Pro M case
  • Corsair ML Fans

The rig has played everything i've thrown at it so far and benchmarks not too badly:

The cooling setup is keeping the CPU at ~30 Deg and GPU at ~44 Deg under full load. One issue im having is with the RAM, I have tried 2 sets of 3200 CL 14 RAM and I am unable to complete 15 minutes of RealBench with the Stock XMP Profile - the only way I can get it stable is to use over 1.2v on the SOC so im running at 2933 and 1.05v SOC to get it stable.

Anyone got any tips on getting DDR4 working above 3Ghz?
