this one might be controversial, but does anybody else get turned off by reactors that make a living off of our gorl?

part of the allure of ALR (at least to me) is how pathetically simple & bland her life is in regards to not having a real job, responsibilities, goals, etc. i have a hard time watching ZM, Karina, Jordy etc. because it makes me feel like they’ve somewhat stooped to her level. like imagine telling your family & friends that your income comes from making videos of a 600lb Oklahoma lesbian…

it also creates a weird power dynamic where ALR is essentially in control of their income. if she doesn’t post, they have no content 🤷🏽‍♀️ kind of cringe if you ask me.

ive been re-watching michaelbepetty lately; not only because hes funny as fuck, but because ALR wasnt his main activity in life. and he was able to quit youtube & not come back because he wasnt reliant on her for long-term income (and i dont think he ever wanted to be).

he understood all the lore, was smart / witty, and has a medical background which added some interesting commentary.
