There have been a few posts here about odd things coming up in recommendations or email suggestions, blaming it on some sort of master listening and viewing machine monitoring everything we do. Problem with this site is it's almost impossible to find old threads and not possible at all to bump them back to the top. So, a new thread it is.
I have never, ever, searched anything even remotely like this on Home Depot, but I just got this email:.
"We Found These Tableware Options For You"
I bought a stove from them last Spring, but that's the closest I've come.
So, why am I posting this here? This morning, just a few hours ago, I checked new items and saw the gold trimmed plastic plates. Mildly curious, I clicked on it, but busted out laughing when I saw the $55 'fair market value'. Closed it tight quick.
How can it be that I got that email just shortly after viewing that item? Sure, coincidence and all, but this is a bit much. This is Twilight Zone stuff.
No 'smart' boxes in my home taking voice commands either. .... That I know of.
