I have officially come to the conclusion that Vine will continue this downward trajectory. It has been reduced to high-etv/low-quality items with fewer and fewer updates. For the newcomers, this may not be as noticeable. If anything, this is evident by how few resources Amazon allocates to Vine.
It's been a good run, but this drought seems as though it will last forever!
Edit: I apologize for the doom 'n gloom. It's just nice to voice my frustrations sometimes!
I don't believe there's a set time of day but I'd assume it correlates to the logorithm in place. For me, I see my queue become filled with new items in the early mornings, say 6 AM, and afternoons around 1 PM.
From my experience solely, I start getting random items that have nothing to do with my interests or my gender (male here) when Vine is wanting to get rid of the bulk of their items, to make way for a whole bunch of new stuff for the season coming up. Not sure if anyone remembers but a few months back the Vine site did not update anything new on any queue for weeks. Then one early morning, about 2 AM, all these new items began being added in bulk and I'm talking thousands by the thousands every few minutes. There's for sure been overpriced crap that does not warrant the price tag (right now there's a $600 exercise bike thats worth $200 at most) and an imminent slow down is noticeable, maybe to make way for summer inventory?? If you're not part of the GoodReads Vine group, there is an in-depth chat happening now amongst Vine members about this very topic. I apologize if my comments offend or come off rude to anyone, inflection cannot be read off text and I'm not that person. I only mean to help others, as I was once new to Vine too and had people help me as well.
I've been in Vine for a little over 2 years now and have seen many droughts (not nearly as many as other senior members) but my queues are still pumping out some solid products. Just this morning I saw: 2 flat screen TVs larger than 50" (one was Sony and the other Samsung), multiple PCs/mini PCs, orthopedic mattresses, designer purses/clothing, and a plethora of other products that may be deemed "high-ETV" but of high-quality as well.
My queues for each 3 categories have also populated new products and items daily... so, maybe it's your relative location but this hasn't been a drought for everyone. Sorry to hear of your situation though, hoping it changes for you soon, bud!
That's awesome that you're so computer savvy and can build a much faster machine than the ones listed on Vine but how does that hold relevance to the topic at hand? The initial topic's subject was the downward trajectory that Vine has been taking as of late, given the low-quality items that have been introduced with high ETV. I, too, can build/rebuild a computer that's much more efficient at computing given my work experience at Apple and Microsoft but that serves no purpose here. Whether a machines parts suffice to upgrade to Windows 11 hardly constitutes the worth of a machine, especially, since some people don't care to upgrade to Windows 11. It appears your comment was meant to insult or degrade the quality of my initial comment that was meant to help boost the morale of the original author's post....
