Do I need a reason to take PLOA? HR says I do, but Reddit says I don't.
Post Body

I was feeling sick 2 weeks ago and decided to self-quarantine. Problem is I get pointed on May 1 2 and 6 because of no more UPT. A message on AtoZ said I can apply for LOA with no advance warning before April 29th. So I sent the Canada LOA team an email and they responded back in a few hours asking me when I want time off and and for what reason.

I responded back and didn't hear from all week until today. Meanwhile I didn't come to work for those 3 days and emailed my HR to let them know, but they too did not respond. They said, "We are not the appropriate team to justify your absence l, you have to contact your local HR and they will assist you with your options."

So what do I do now?
