Why's there so much hatred for night shift?

Post Body

I work 3rds from 1:20-11:50 and those shifts definitely stretch long, but it's so worth it for me. We get a break right as the sun is rising and it's beautiful to watch, get off before noon and have the rest of my day to go do errands when it's not busy, sit outside in the sun, workout, etc. Not to mention getting 3 days off is such a blessing on top of that sweet sweet premium pay. I go to sleep around 4pm and have blackout curtains so it's just like sleeping at night.

I feel like people struggle with night shift because they don't use it to their advantage/prepare for it. The only downside for me is missing out on night activities with friends if they go out to a bar or something.
