At my site, Friday was the last day for cycle zero. A week ago, when we were asked if we wanted to go to cycle one, we were told that we would still be white badges--temporary--just working cycle one hours.

When we went to clock in Friday, a bunch of white badges couldn't clock in--all moving to cycle one. Out walks the manager with blue badges for them. I was not one of them. Even the guy who perpetually complained about everything and never turned down a chance to hide in the rows to socialize got one.

I don't get it. I really don't. We were all hired at the same time. We were all told that no white badges moving to cycle zero would get blue badges...but almost everyone left that night with blue badges. Can anyone explain the logic?
