I just want to say kudos to everyone here for staying at this job.
I'm grateful for this temporary job as it helped me survive. Fast food and retail doesn't compare to the sheer workout that you do every shift for stowing and picking. During the first week, I had a few panic attacks after a few shifts. My respect goes to y'all as this job is not only physically but also mentally challenging.
I only enjoyed stowing in my own lines. I hated when I had to transfer to different lines and fix peoples sloppy work to make space so that I didn't need to replace a bag. I hate buffing with passion and prefer splitting.
My station played music for us which was nice. VTO is a really good concept, but can be a double edged sword. Management and HR seemed alright. The job itself made me feel like a mindless robot and number at times.
I just got accepted recently for a new job and thankfully it's a stepping stone in my career. I've been working at this DS for less than 3 weeks and I just got an offer for a blue badge right now as I'm going into my last shift.
This experience has taught me that I should be thankful for a lot things that I have and to not rush things which got me into the situation of having to work for Amazon.
Goodbye to night shifts and working on the weekend.
I wish you all luck in your future endeavors.
