Losing BT connection with Oneplus 6

Hi all,
Recently had an Android update for my phone (Oneplus 6) which i think has broken the bluetooth connection with my Bip. Once or twice a day i keep getting a notification that Mii fit has lost connection to the watch. A couple of times restarting BT on my phone has fixed the issue but normally a full phone reboot is required to pair the devices. Going to the Bluetooth settings is not allowing manual connection to the watch either. Anyone else use the same phone and experienced similar issues?
