Proposal for Changes to Territorial Claims
Post Body

I apologize for all these proposals recently, but I believe we need to do these things now or risk not being able to in the future.

Our current territory is divided between three claims which are all about equal in size located in the ocean, desert, and mountains. Each of these claims had a historical and practical reasoning behind them. Now that the mountain claim has become our defacto capital and the center of our activity, I believe its time to make some changes to our territories with this location in mind.

This proposal has 2 parts: the first is for the expansion of our mountain claim, and the second is for the abandonment or revision of our desert claim.

Expanding the mountain claim: This claim has become our most important. It has the best positioning on the map and has become our capital. With this in mind, I believe we should reasonably expand it to account for future needs and growth. I propose we expand it from the southern tips of Greyshore's and our claims east, extending to but not onto the river. This expansion is easily defined, provides use access to clear plains, forestland, and the river. It will create room for our city to expand when needed and place the bulk of our territory in an area we are active.

Modifying our current claims: Given that the server community at large has become unsupportive of expanding or new land claims, I believe we will have to give a little in order to take in order to maintain good diplomatic relations. For this, I would like to suggest abandoning our desert claim altogether. It is far removed from our own, unused, and borders another nation. While it does hold historic value to us, it currently has no practical use compared to what could be gained by expanding our claims elsewhere. If giving up the desert claim is unacceptable, I would suggest at least decreasing it size as a show of good faith for our diplomacy. I do not believe we need to give up our ocean claim. It does not seriously border another nation, (I believe) is somewhat developed, and could still be of use to us.
