Hello, Rocky here, 8m bestest doggo and boss of house. I make all rules. Invaders (Pepper 2F pittie mix doggo, Smarty Pants and Butterscotch CATS of unknown age, very bad to have cats) do NOT listen to my rules and I shout at them but still they do what they want. They very bad behaved.

Human does what I want and follows rules usually but sometimes needs shouting. Shout for to go outside, for example, or for move thing blocking my dog steps up onto my bed. (Human say it her best but she is wrong.) Sometime shout at human in night to wake up and move over because she too close to my side of bed. All that works, so human is trainable even if she not know all my rules.

Also I shout to alert to danger, such as strangers walking in MY road, because I good guard doggo and must do job.

Sometimes I shout at strangers in road too much while human work and do “meeting” so she give me my favorite treat (dentastix!) so I be quiet for a few minutes. I learn this works so now I try to train human to give me dentastix whenever I ask, as is human’s job. So now I randomly start shouting at human at all times of day and night, wanting dentastix. I say this is human’s duty and would not shout maybe if she leave dentastix where I can reach (I much shorter than human and not good at jump or climb because I long with short legs) but she says bad idea because last time she did that I stole all my birthday treats and ate them in one day. Because birthday, is right!

Anyway, human think I cloaca for try to train her to give dentastix when I shout. I say human need training. She try to take me to training class when I baby and I not listen to them when they tell me things like “stay” and “lay down” because I do what I want when I want and I know best and am boss who makes rules not learns rules, but learn idea of training and how to train human. Works for other things, why not this? So, Reddit, AITC?
