Okay so basically i moved schools and states because my ex was abusive and used to hit me, dump water on me, spit on me, kick me, ecttt😰 but one day at my old school i just never showed up and never told anyone so i just kinda disappeared over there but halfway through this year i got a snap notification and it was my ex trying to add me on snapchat and while in class i just took a screenshot ( 1 day before i left we got a no contact contract where they basically cant even talk about you or they’ll get suspended or even be in the same class) and then proceeded to block her but my friend is saying i should text her back to see why she added me and that she maybe added me to apologize but i wont unblock her but thats also making my friend upset because she thinks everyone deserves a second chance. So am i the buttface for not unblocking my abusive ex?
No, you should not feel guilty for not unblocking your abusive ex. Putting your own emotional and physical well-being first is important, and getting back together with someone who has hurt you could put that at risk. Your friend's advice about second chances doesn't really apply when it comes to abuse, where it's often necessary to set strict boundaries for healing. Trust your instincts and prioritize your health over any feelings of guilt or pressure from others. You did the right thing by standing up for yourself.
