AITB for not wanting to use a step stool?
Post Body

This is more of a silly "issue" and something my bf and I are just teasing each other about. But figured it would be fun to get other opinions.

I am moving into my BF's house next year. I had to temporarily stay at his house due to my AC breaking last week. During that time I realized that his laundry room is not short people friendly. (I am only 5'1). I cannot reach the laundry detergent if it's pushed to the very back of the shelf. BUT! If it's pulled closer to the edge, I can get it and put it back. (It's not hanging over the edge, just closer to the edge vs the wall.)

I told him that he would just need to make it a habit to pull the detergent closer to the edge and not push it to the very back. He said he'd rather just get a step stool to keep in the laundry room. The issue is that his laundry room is actually the entry way through the garage. And there's nowhere to tuck a step stool, it would just be in the way for someone to trip over while bringing in groceries.

I do have stepstools that I keep folded and put away. I just like to keep every day items in reach so I don't have to bring it out every day. I feel like laundry is something I do too often to drag out a step stool every time. And the solution is just for him to simply not push it all the way back. I told him that I will help him break the habit by asking him to get the detergent for me every time he pushes it back. He jokingly told me that he wouldn't move it for me because I could just get a stool.

So AITB for refusing to use the step stool and instead asking my BF to get the detergent when he pushes it too far?
