AITA for Not want to chaperone a guest early in the morning?
Post Body

I saw my old friend a few months back and they mentioned that they would be coming up to my area for a work volunteer event in the city from Sat-Mon this upcoming weekend so I offered them a spot to sleep. I live about 30 miles outside of the city by car and am on the train line. They accepted it and then a couple months went by and just about 3 weeks ago they told me they had to be in the city around 6:00am on Sunday morning. So I was thinking ok, nbd the bedroom is in a different part of the house with it's own exit.

This past weekend I let them know the best ways to get to town, either by the early train (takes about 25 minutes) or scheduling a taxi or uber. They responded asking me if I could drive them and they would pay for parking or gas. The event doesn't end until around 3 and I don't want to be in the city for 8 hours on a Sunday or wake up at 5 to drive them. So I said no and they got a little pissy and now are going to stay at a hotel that their work had a group thing with.

AITA for not wanting to the be the chaperone for the day which made them get a hotel room?
