We decided to stay in last night so we order pizza, salad and wings for delivery. We used a local, family owned pizza place that has always had good food.
I ordered the wings. The girl asked if I wanted to order the five or ten pack. I said the ten.
She then asked which flavor I wanted, “buffalo, BBQ or dry rub.”
I asked for five BBQ and five buffalo.”
She responded with, “sorry we can’t do that. If you want different flavors you need to place separate orders. I can charge you for 5 pack of buffalo and separately for 5 pack of BBQ. It will be $4 extra.”
This doesn’t make sense to me.
I didn’t want to argue with a high school girl that answers phones at a local pizza spot on a Saturday night. So I just said to make them all BBQ flavor.
But I’m irritated. I want to let the manager that it is a dumb policy. But maybe it’s not.
I’m not in the restaurant industry. I don’t know what the reason would be that they can’t as easily put a mixture of wings in the oven and split the order. Why don’t have to pay more money for two smaller orders?
