so my friends birthday is today 5/19 and I have some presents I want to give him but he started going off on me tonight about something so stupid. I unsent a Facebook message that was just misinformation, so I didn't want him to read it and get excited only for me to tell him that I was wrong about what was going on. But instead of asking me what I sent or why I unsent it he instead was like did you send me a message just unsend it and be dramatic.

And after telling him no it was just misinformation he replied saying that I could've corrected it but that what I would did was nonsense and toxic red flag shit.

And so I told him that we need to have a conversation about this but he doesn't wanna have a conversation on his birthday. So now I don't want to give him his gift while I'm upset by him and while he's seemingly upset at me because I just feel like it wouldn't be a good happy time or would it be better to just give him the present and then talk to him another day

Also note that I really have never given him a reason to make him think this way about me so I really do think it’s something someone’s done to him before that made him react this way
