So i made an appointment with a guy today to pickup a bicycle frame via a popular marketplace website. The advert stated that it was free to get, but chocolates would be appreciated.
Due to being completely swamped at work, and going from a work related appointment straight to this guy, i was unable to get chocolates.
When i arrived, we made some small talk, and he showed me the frame. He then asked me if i had any chocolates, to which i replied no, and explained my situation.
Seller: Do you mind if i modify the frame a bit? Me: no, go ahead. Seller: are you sure, i will do it. Me, sure, go ahead.
The seller then proceeded to bent the rear of the frame.
Seller: Do you still want it? Me: yes Seller: Okay.
He then proceeded to bent the front fork, after wich i walked away, and called him childish. He told me i should have brought him chocolates.
Like i said, it wasn't explicitly stated that he wanted to trade, just that it was free to pick up. I did want to buy chocolates, but due to my work was unable to. (Supermarkets close early as well due to corona). I was kinda pissed since i did go out of my way to get to him, even updating him on when i left work. It did cost me gas to get there.
Am i the asshole for not satisfying his chocolaty cravings?
